End of Year 6 statutory assessments are commonly referred to as SATs, which is short for, 'Standard Attainment Tests.'
All children in Year 6 will sit their SATs in May, the papers are externally marked and the results are returned to the school in July. Children in Year 6, will sit a test for each of the following:
English Reading,
English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (Paper 1 Questions and Paper 2 Spellings)
Mathematics (Paper 1 Arithmetic, Paper 2 and 3 Reasoning)
KS2 (Year 6) Data 2025 (ARE - Age-Related Expectations, GDS - Greater Depth within the Standard)
Reading - 72% ARE 31% GDS - National 75% ARE 33% GDS
Writing - 64% ARE 3% GDS - National 72% ARE 13% GDS
Maths - 74% ARE 3% GDS - National 74% ARE 26% GDS
Reading, Writing, Maths Combined - 57% GDS - National 62%
